 PURPOSE

 
 
As an international, evangelical, residential community. 
Gateway exists to:
 
 
  1. Demonstrate and facilitate growth in Christ-likeness individually and as a body. 
  2. Provide hands-on experience in sharing the good news with other cultures. 
  3. Facilitate understanding of other cultures and religions and research  ways to bring them to Christ.
 
 
      We serve local churches and mission agencies in training missionaries for cross-cultural ministry.  This is accomplished by:
 
 
  • living together as a multi-cultural learning community
  • classroom instruction by resident staff, visiting missionaries, and guest lecturers
  • urban ministry opportunities in diverse ethnic communities
  • promoting awareness of the unfinished missionary task
  • stimulated prayer for unreached people groups
